Social purpose
The purpose of the company is to develop bio-inspired blood tests — as well as tests based on saliva samples, urine tests and other biological fluids — for the detection and monitoring of cancerous and non-cancerous diseases in both healthy and diseased individuals, with a view to the early identification of disease in asymptomatic individuals (screening), as well as the stratification, prediction and monitoring of disease progression and response to treatment in patients. The company also develops nanosensors for the rapid, accurate and multiplex detection of biomarkers. These nanosensors may be integrated into existing devices used in medical laboratories or incorporated into mobile devices for near-patient (“point-of-care”) diagnostics.
